• Reporting to the Director, Architecture & Technology, the Enterprise Architect role is to operate as the key technical architect supporting the Engineer, Operations, and Product teams for designing and improving ThinkOn’s service infrastructure. • This role will be responsible for the architectural ownership of configuring and designing solutions with the Product and Engineering teams. • The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions and outcomes for ThinkOn’s customer base that leverage the standard services offered. • The Enterprise Architect must be capable of leading and coordinating a team of internal and external resources and will be recognized as an expert in ThinkOn products, services, and practices. • The role will be responsible for reviewing the current technical backlog and providing design changes to align with ThinkOn’s vision. • The Infrastructure Architect will help design and maintain standard deployment of new and existing services and solutions.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong VMware knowledge (Kubernetes/Container knowledge is an asset), strong infrastructure knowledge (network, storage, and compute), strong data protection and archiving solutions knowledge, object storage knowledge, disaster recovery and replication concepts and solution knowledge, strong design and architecture knowledge to help build out solutions that scale, strong technical knowledge on Storage SANs (Hitachi, HPE, Dell, Pure), knowledge or backup and DR software such as Veeam, Commvault, Zerto, Avamar, and Networker • Have sound understanding of IT Infrastructure, cloud, and cloud-based technologies and applications • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively communicate with all parties involved in the conversations and project handoff conversations • Strong time management skills • Ability to lead POCs and work with other ThinkOn teams for resources • Ability to lead vendor related conversations for roadmap and features • Strong Architecture Design skills to help develop solutions to scale for cloud services providers
