Description

• Must reside within the continental US while working. • This role is W-2-only and it is a long-term contract position (no C2C arrangements). • We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. • Standard Eastern Time business hours and you must be exclusively dedicated to this role (no other simultaneous job engagements are permitted). • We have several fully remote, long-term contract Data Engineer openings for various levels of professional experience. • In this role, you’ll help shape data solutions that drive operational success in a large enterprise environment. • You’ll design and maintain reliable data pipelines, streamline ETL/ELT processes, and contribute to a strong data foundation that enables informed decision-making across the business. • These roles will provide data engineering to support the ML and data science teams. • We offer competitive compensation, as well as some benefits (see below). The compensation for these opportunities ranges from $40-$70/hr, depending upon level.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field • A true passion for data and enthusiasm for the role • An inclination for action paired with the ability to ask insightful questions • Strong communication skills (and a sense of humor) • A humble approach to receiving and implementing feedback • 1-4 years of hands-on experience (including professional work or relevant co-op/internship experience) • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation • Familiarity with Jenkins pipelines for basic CI/CD processes and automation • Basic knowledge of Google BigQuery (or similar) for cloud-based data storage and querying • Nice-to-have: Exposure to DBT Core for foundational data transformation and modeling • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Tableau for supporting reporting efforts • Nice-to-have: Python (Pandas/NumPy) familiarity for data processing tasks • 5-7 years of professional experience in a large enterprise environment • Advanced SQL expertise, including complex querying and optimization • Proficiency with Jenkins pipelines, managing CI/CD workflows, and automation • Strong experience with Google BigQuery (or similar), including advanced querying and cloud data management • Extensive use of DBT Core for complex data transformation, modeling, and pipeline development • Experience with Tableau to support or guide data visualization and reporting • Proficiency in Python (Pandas/NumPy) for advanced data manipulation and automation
