Description

• Must reside within the continental US while working. • This role is W-2-only and it is a contract-to-hire position (no C2C arrangements). • We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. • Standard Eastern Time business hours and you must be exclusively dedicated to this role (no other simultaneous job engagements are permitted). • MUST HAVE the essential tech stack experience - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and Cloud (prefer GCP). • MUST BE self-motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and consistently meet deliverables without requiring continual oversight, while also collaborating effectively and being an active team player. • We have several fully remote, contract-to-hire Senior Java Engineer openings where you will play a pivotal role in driving IT transformation and modernization for a large enterprise industry leader. • These roles require hands-on technical expertise in Java and related technologies, as well as strategic foresight and problem-solving skills. • You must be able to hit the ground running by producing high-quality code, and must be proficient across different stages of the software development life cycle. • We offer competitive compensation, as well as many benefits (see below).

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent Java development experience in a large enterprise environment (and up-to-date, hands-on coding experience). • Microservices architecture with tools like Spring Boot and REST APIs. • Version control with GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. • Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience with cloud services (preferably GCP). • Proficient in both SQL and NoSQL databases. • Ability to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability. • Analytical skills to identify and resolve complex system issues. • Clear communication of technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strategic foresight in technology trends and future needs. • Experience in analyzing and reengineering existing systems for efficiency. • Comfort with agile methodologies and adaptation to evolving requirements. • Proven experience contributing to the architecture of significant IT projects and guiding technical teams. • Experience in code reviews and mentoring other engineers, fostering growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
