Description

• Lead the project design team • Prepare substation project design and technical documents • Develop scopes of work, conceptual designs, and execution plans • Prepare engineering cost and man-hour estimates and schedules • Design physical substation including yard layouts, grounding plan, control building, etc. • Develop detail drawings and section views • Conduct system sizing studies • Prepare equipment specifications for procurement • Coordinate design activities with other departments • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members • Regularly meet and correspond with clients • Provide short-term field support during construction

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering • Minimum 7 years of related experience • Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) • Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI Standards • Knowledge of computer drafting tools such as AutoCAD preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Capability of solving difficult problems with adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria
