• Utilize event management systems for ongoing monitoring of performance, availability and pre-failure alerting taking appropriate actions in response to alerts. • Manage and resolve assigned service incident tickets, following incident management process and procedure. • Support customer incident management bridges and calls. • Support Major Incident Management and fault resolution. • Support Problem Management and root cause analysis. • Perform Linux administration on market data systems as directed (TREP, Bloomberg, SOLACE, OneTick, DACS, EMRS, ZABBIX, etc.). • Undertake routine maintenance activities for internal systems. • Support the creation of routine status reports. • Participate in new client system builds. • Production and maintenance of systems documentation. • Support Disaster Recovery planning and testing. • Assist with project planning and implementation. • Work as part of a global team that provides 24x7 coverage on a rotation basis, hence must be available for shift work.
• 3+ years experience in a technical operations support role. • Strong understanding of Unix, Linux - Red Hat / CentOS, etc. • Hands on experience with cloud and storage technologies • Network Operational experience – strong understanding of TCP/IP, Multicast, Routing • Ability to write / understand scripts- csh/ksh/perl/python/php
