📋 Description

• Lead the design of end-to-end customer experiences for Toast hardware products, focused on topics like device setup, management, and troubleshooting • Work as part of a cross-functional team of Product Designers, Industrial Designers, and User Researchers to deliver hardware experiences that are intuitive, efficient, and delightful • Work closely with partners in Design, Product Management, and Engineering to identify and define user pain points, crafting innovative design solutions that improve workflows and drive measurable user outcomes • Drive qualitative and quantitative user research and testing to inform design iterations and ensure good outcomes for users and the business • Design within and help develop Toast guidelines, best practices, and standards

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in Product Design • Well-developed skills in Figma, Miro, and other design collaboration tools • Experience with designing workflows, making wireframes and mockups, building prototypes, and creating high-quality interface designs • Deep awareness of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards • Experience coordinating and conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions • Experience managing complexity and working with cross-functional teams to drive decisions • Ability to prioritize tasks and initiatives across multiple cross-functional stakeholder groups • Solid storytelling and presentation skills • Experience mentoring junior designers
