Description

• Work on a cross-cultural, remote integrated team to design an advanced foreign language course. • Ensure instructional integrity and educational effectiveness of training materials produced. • Collaborate closely with SMEs and develop engaging storyboards. • Design complex level branching and feedback loops. • Apply eLearning best practices for learner engagement and knowledge transfer. • Communicate effectively within an Army training culture. • Employ excellent planning and time management skills.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an eLearning designer/developer of IMI Level 2-3. • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related discipline. • Specialization in Instructional Systems Design or Instructional Design Technology. • Degree in Applied Linguistics. • Working knowledge of foreign language learning methodology. • Experience in designing advanced language learning curriculum. • Proven cross cultural aptitude gained through experience, certifications, or college level course work. • 5 years’ experience in the Instructional Design field. • Firm understanding of the ADDIE system of design and evaluation. • Ability to communicate ideas effectively and simplify complex ideas. • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities. • Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment. • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to interface with Senior-level personnel in company and Government/Military clients. • Samples of level 3 storyboards or a design portfolio required. • U.S. citizen. Eligible for government security clearance. • Experience designing Army or Army University distributed learning content is desired. • Working knowledge of at least one foreign language: Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, French, Korean, Russian, or Spanish. • Familiarity with Adobe Captivate. • Familiarity with learning management systems as delivery platforms for eLearning courseware.
