📋 Description

• TROOP is a group meeting planning and travel management platform that helps companies bring teams together for in-person meetings. • The experience starts with TROOP’s award-winning Intelligent Destination Recommendations, which use advanced algorithms to help meeting planners pinpoint the perfect meeting destination. • We are on a mission to bring people together by transforming the meeting planning process. • TROOP is an international, remote-first company. Our culture is rooted in an African philosophy called "Ubuntu," which means "I am because we are." • Test Automation Framework & Processes: Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks to support application growth. • Bug Tracking & Issue Resolution: Identify, log, and track bugs or issues encountered during testing, ensuring timely resolution. • Feature Release & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all feature releases meet quality and performance standards before final sign-off. • Testing Types & Methodologies: Conduct diverse tests, including functional, performance, load, stress, usability, and security testing. • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Knowledge sharing within Engineering and Product teams to promote cross-functional learning and collaboration. • Metrics & Reporting: Automate test metrics collection, develop dashboards, and provide real-time data-driven insights into test coverage, system health, and release readiness.

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required in automation testing for both front-end and backend systems. Experience with SDLC flow for manual end-to-end testing activities. • Solid experience with Playwright and basic knowledge of JavaScript and navigating a frontend application codebase. TypeScript proficiency is highly desirable. • Experience with analytical systems or tracking tools like Google Analytics, GCP, workflows, Currents, or LogRocket. • Solid experience with project and defect management tooling and SaaS platforms, and a working knowledge of project management tools such as ideally Linear, Jira, GitLab, or similar. • Ideal prior experience in working with GraphQL-based systems. • Basic SQL command experience with databases preferred. • Flexible in approach and adaptable to different work environments with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are highly valued in a remote work setting. • Curiosity and Critical Thinking: It is essential to go beyond surface-level observations and evaluate user experience, performance, as well as the interaction and functionality of different TROOP features both individually and collectively. • Experience with agile methodologies. • A BSc. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree is preferred.
