📋 Description

• The Senior Manager, Strategic Communications will lead a cross-functional team of professionals across the organization to ensure the strategic content development, placement, delivery and audience engagement for BMP’s reports, resources and tools • Lead a strategic planning process for brand development, engagement and outreach • Develop content for all of BMP’s external and internal communications • Support various teams and initiatives for sector-wide use and adoption • Work with BMP’s Communications Associate to develop a strategy and implementation plan for partnership and stakeholder engagement

🎯 Requirements

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong copyediting experience • Strong ability to work across teams by building key relationships and trust • Proven record of developing media strategy, pitching stories, and cultivating and managing media relationships • Experience in brand development and digital production of materials and resources for diverse audiences • Highly proficient experience in website management and basic knowledge of web development • Organized and self-motivated • Demonstrates attention to detail, efficient work habits, and project management skills • Creative problem solver and critical thinker • Able to distill and translate complex concepts, including research reports, to lay audiences • Expert use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel • ability to use Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Illustrator • familiarity with CRMs as tools for audience engagement and management (familiarity with HubSpot preferred, but not required) • Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as a part of a growing, high-performing team • Demonstrates professionalism, good humor, patience, and the ability to handle stress • Experienced with graphic design software • Highly experienced leading across diverse program areas, lines of authority, and workgroups, as well as overseeing communications consultants • Demonstrates commitment to racial justice and equity, social movements, or nonprofit organizational development.
