• Teach remotely in the Accounting & Cyber-Accounting program at UMGC. • Engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed. • Guide students in active collaboration and problem/project-based learning demonstrations. • Provide constructive feedback and assess student work effectively. • Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and help students connect concepts across their program. • Provide feedback on possible curricular improvements.
• A terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution • One or more certifications in the cyber-security area from well-respected professional organizations such as the ISACA-issued CISA, etc. • A minimum of ten years of professional experience working as an accountant with expertise in accounting, accounting information systems, and cyber-security • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred
• Health Coverage: Access to health care, medical with vision, dental, and prescription plans for both individuals and families, effective from the 1st of the month following your hire date. • NOTE: Adjuncts are not eligible for the State of Maryland subsidized rates.
