Description

• Unlock’s mission is to unleash the power of home equity to enrich people’s lives. • The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records, implementing financial controls, and assisting in the preparation of reports for both internal and external stakeholders. • The role supports the strategic financial direction of the company while ensuring compliance and financial integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred. • Proven experience (5-10 years) in accounting or financial management, preferably within the HEA / mortgage or financial services industry. • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements. • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Netsuite experience including system implementation is a major plus. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to address challenges and drive process improvements. • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
