• Help lead month-end close process • Ensure financial statement accuracy • Maintain strong internal controls • Provide financial analysis for decision-making • Perform general accounting functions, including financial reporting and analysis • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations • Assist in preparation of a variance analysis for P&L and balance sheet • Update daily cash report and assist with cash forecasting • Monitor A/R accounts: Detect overdue payments and manage payments and refunds • Communicate with customers regarding debts and questions • Create measures to encourage timely payments • Process payroll, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and adjustments • Lead sales tax reporting and filing • Assist with year-end financial statement audit requests • Support senior management with ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and projects • Supervise and train junior staff as needed
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, combined with 4-6 years of public/private industry accounting experience. • Strong analytical and accounting skills with a solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls. • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and managing deadlines and expectations. • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Experience in NetSuite is a plus. • Advanced knowledge of Excel or other programs such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power of BI, etc., is preferred. • Accounting experience with an advertising/marketing agency a plus.
