Description

• Design, develop, and implement Ruby on Rails into our client's fintech platform. • Integrate database and file storage solutions. • Work with and integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions. • Help maintain high code quality, organization, and automation and be a team player. • Lead the way in evaluating and introducing new technologies and practices.

Requirements

• Must have 5-10+ years of professional development experience writing in Ruby on Rails. • Some experience with react.js code or relevant experience in other web languages/frameworks. • Must have experience creating web applications and a deep understanding of web technologies. • Strong attention to detail is required. • Excellent interpersonal skills with a desire to work in a collaborative environment. • Proven ability to work with highly confidential data with a high level of professionalism. • Excited to work in a startup environment; you have a track record of being adaptable to changing priorities in a fluid, high-growth environment. • You’re able to work independently, but you’re not afraid to ask for help when you need it. • You’re not satisfied with the status quo and are always looking for ways to make things better for our employees. • Highly organized, and able to manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities. • To be proficient in a wide range of tools, design patterns, and best practices. • To be able to work on entire features, from concept through to production deployment ensuring the feature is built and deployed in a timely fashion. • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application. • Able to create, update, and maintain database schemas that represent and support business processes. • Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests, and familiar with continuous integration.
