β€’ Make a difference here. β€’ UltraViolet Cyber is a leading platform-enabled unified security operations company providing a comprehensive suite of security operations solutions. β€’ Founded and operated by security practitioners with decades of experience. β€’ The UltraViolet Cyber security-as-code platform combines technology innovation and human expertise to make advanced real-time cybersecurity accessible for all organizations by eliminating risks of separate red and blue teams. β€’ By creating continuously optimized identification, detection, and resilience from today’s dynamic threat landscape, UltraViolet Cyber provides both managed and custom-tailored unified security operations solutions to the Fortune 500, Federal Government, and Commercial clients. β€’ UltraViolet Cyber is headquartered in McLean, Virginia, with global offices across the U.S. and in India. β€’ UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure. β€’ This technical role supports high-profile customers by developing and maintaining containerized environments. β€’ The ideal candidate will be a driven, self-starting software engineer with a strong track record of delivering scalable, secure solutions. β€’ This role works closely with engineering and operations teams to implement automation and cloud-native solutions, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.

Requirements

β€’ 5+ years of experience in software engineering, specializing in SaaS, DevOps, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure. β€’ Working understanding of Buck2 and/or Bazel. β€’ Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deployment, scaling, and cluster maintenance. β€’ Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS and/or GCP environments. β€’ Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related automation tools. (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions) β€’ Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, and familiarity with other container runtimes like cri-o, Podman, or containerd. β€’ Familiarity with container runtime APIs and programmatically interacting with Kubernetes (beyond kubectl) is a plus. β€’ Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios or Splunk is a plus. β€’ Development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Python, Golang, Java, JavaScript, PHP). β€’ Experience working with immutable operating systems like Flatcar or CoreOS is a plus. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on performance optimization and security.
