• About Us: Valo Health is a technology company applying human and machine intelligence to accelerate the creation of life-changing medical treatments. • Valo hires the best and gives them first-class training and support. • About The Role: Valo is looking for an initially Front-end focused Full-stack Software Engineer 2 to join our Platform Engineering team to build our large-scale computational platform for drug discovery. • Work iteratively with users to design, implement, and productionize UI and backend data features. • Collaborate with data scientists, medicinal chemists and other stakeholders to drive full-stack projects in a highly cross-functional environment. • Troubleshoot and improve Valo Health’s Software infrastructure architecture. • Influence and foster a collaborative, agile, outcome-focused, team culture.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in software engineering • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent experience • Experience building production systems in Python and modern frontend frameworks, such as React • Experience working across the stack from the DB to the UI, with a passion for every layer • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills • Experience developing systems on AWS • Experience with large-scale refactors and migrations • Experience with ML production systems • A background in drug discovery
