Description

• Key contributor to Velera’s compliance and privacy programs. • Provide legal support for compliance and privacy research, contract reviews, and audits. • Advise departments on legal, regulatory compliance, and privacy issues. • Develop and maintain compliance and privacy programs. • Review and draft legal documents when necessary.

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree and JD Degree (from ABA-accredited law school) required. • Admission to a state bar with an active membership in good standing is required; admission to the State of Florida Bar is preferred. • Three (3) years experience as a practicing attorney. • At least two (2) years of compliance and/or privacy-related experience, preferably in the financial services industry. • Experience within a corporate legal environment is preferred. • Experience working in the financial services sector is preferred. • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts is preferred. • ACH and payment network experience preferred.
