β’ Ability to multi-task and communicate tax matters with intracompany departments, clients, and other stakeholders. β’ Perform tax research relating to indirect tax compliance and be able to identify complex tax issues and resolve them independently. β’ Maintain a tax calendar and follow various project timelines proactively and with minimum supervision. β’ Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation and posting of monthly journal entries relating to tax transactions. β’ Manage sales tax software system proficiently. Includes the setup and maintenance of companies, clients, exemption certificates, tax jurisdictions, reporting and analysis, scenario modeling, and the handling of technical support cases. β’ Perform other duties as assigned and assist with tax audits and notices. β’ Perform corporate indirect tax function for parent company and subsidiaries. Includes the preparation, filing, and payment of sales & use tax returns, property tax returns, Secretary of State reporting, business licensing, census reports, and other related support. β’ Research and determine the correct taxability of products/services to ensure correct sales tax coding.
