• Perform corporate indirect tax function for parent company and subsidiaries. • Manage sales tax software system proficiently. • Research and determine the correct taxability of products/services. • Perform tax research relating to indirect tax compliance. • Maintain a tax calendar and follow various project timelines. • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation of journal entries. • Ability to multi-task and communicate tax matters. • Assist with tax audits and notices.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate tax matters with intracompany departments, clients, and other stakeholders. • Perform tax research relating to indirect tax compliance and be able to identify complex tax issues and resolve them independently. • Maintain a tax calendar and follow various project timelines proactively and with minimum supervision. • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation and posting of monthly journal entries relating to tax transactions. • Manage sales tax software system proficiently. Includes the setup and maintenance of companies, clients, exemption certificates, tax jurisdictions, reporting and analysis, scenario modeling, and the handling of technical support cases. • Perform other duties as assigned and assist with tax audits and notices. • Perform corporate indirect tax function for parent company and subsidiaries. Includes the preparation, filing, and payment of sales & use tax returns, property tax returns, Secretary of State reporting, business licensing, census reports, and other related support. • Research and determine the correct taxability of products/services to ensure correct sales tax coding.
