• Design, build, test and ship scalable, high performance applications • Participate in engineering discussions and technical evaluations • Provide database schema, API designs and micro-service implementations • Mentor team members and focus on best practices

Requirements

• 7+ years of production experience in building backend servers using Node.js • Minimum 7 years of JavaScript experience including asynchronous programming • Thorough understanding of Node.js core principles • Experience collaborating with frontend to develop scalable APIs • Comfortable with database schema design and leveraging SQL & NoSQL • Experience with ORMs such as sequelize, TypeORM, or Prisma • Experience in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • CI/CD or test automation frameworks experience • Experience with code quality and reusability practices • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices • Excellent verbal and written communicator • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
