• Join Verinext, a technology company that's shaping the future. • As Fortinet Network Engineer, you'll thrive in an innovative and fun environment. • We're recognized as a "Best Place to Work" by the Philadelphia Business Journal for 10 years. • We seek a Senior Network Security Engineer as a Fortinet Resident Engineer for our enterprise client. • The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products. • This role involves providing best practices, technical leadership, and guidance to the client. • Key Responsibilities include: • Serve as the Fortinet subject matter expert. • Design, implement and manage Fortinet security solutions. • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex network security issues. • Work closely with client's IT and security teams. • Recommend enhancements and optimizations based on best practices. • Develop technical documentation and assist in integration with other technologies. • Stay updated with latest Fortinet technologies and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in network security engineering. • Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet products: • FortiGate (firewalls and SD-WAN) • FortiSwitch • FortiAP • FortiManager • FortiAnalyzer • Proficiency with other networking and security technologies: • Palo Alto Networks • Cisco Systems • Aruba Networks • Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewall policies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation. • Fortinet certifications such as NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, or NSE 7 are highly desirable. • Additional certifications like CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, or equivalent are a plus. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities. • Advanced Fortinet certifications (e.g., NSE 8). • Experience with cloud security and virtualized environments. • Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible). • Prior experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
