Description
• Vesta is a USA-based climate startup focused on Coastal Carbon Capture (CCC) • Seeking a Director of Coastal Engineering to develop unique solutions for the deployment of carbon removing sand in various locations worldwide • Collaborating with Vesta's Executive Team to develop the most efficient, safe, and economical approach for scaled deployments of CCC • Responsible for thought leadership, leading internal and external stakeholders, and identifying potential sites for deployments • Reporting to Vesta's Head of Operations and driving significant parts of Vesta's global deployment program
Requirements
• Master's degree in coastal or civil engineering • Experience in beach nourishment design, coastal processes, coastal resilience, marine construction, team management, and numerical modeling • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience • Ability to travel (less than 40% of the time) and work remotely • Strong communication skills
