Description

• Maintain multiple databases by identifying and solving database requirements and supporting users • Identify database requirements by interviewing customers, analyzing department applications, programming, and operations, evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems • Install revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts, recommending optimum access techniques, coordinating installation requirements • Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary • Write clean and scalable code using Cache programming language • Verify and review code in sustainment efforts when bugs or defects are discovered • Test and deploy applications and systems • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support • Research, develop HL7 messages and manage approval process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information technology and/or Federal Government contracting • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), VA’s Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), and/or Oracle Health Millennium • Strong cloud engineering experience with AWS and Azure cloud technologies and expertise in IT infrastructure technology processes and tools • Working with databases: SQL, Cache, Oracle, Dynamo DB, etc. • Experience with, IRIS, and/or InterSystems • Proven work experience with Cache/Object Script/MUMPS • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing • Excellent analytical, organizational and clear communication skills • An ability to understand front-end users’ requirements and a problem-solving attitude
