Description

• At Vivara, a vibrant and independent startup in Barcelona, we are on the lookout for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our incredible team. • Backed by GCO Ventures, Vivara is all set to transform the rental management industry and bring a wave of confidence and ease to the housing rental game. • Your role will be instrumental in shaping Vivara's unique ecosystem, dexterously navigating the world of apartment hunting, and making perfect matches between landlords and tenants. • With a strong focus on tailoring our approach to individual needs, we are determined to create a delightful rental experience for everyone and become the preferred choice in the rental market. • As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the system build and functionality of our platform, ensuring performance and scalability. • Write efficient, reusable and self-documented code. • Testing is in your mindset at any time (Units, acceptance…) • Developing new features following DDD and solid principles. • Delivery is an essential part of our daily operations. • Deployment code to the live (customer) environment. • Collaborate effectively with engineers and product managers during team brainstorming sessions, participate actively in the decision-making process, and contribute to the development of architectural structures for new features. • Our tech stack: Node, Typescript, Vue, Cloud Hosting, GitHub, Docker, Firebase.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in Backend Development with modern languages and frameworks (e.g., NestJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, JavaScript) • Proficient in cache systems, NoSQL (Redis preferred), SQL databases, and Git-based trunk development • Strong understanding of DDD/SOLID principles, data structures, and Big-O notation for code complexity • Experience with Docker, cloud hosting, and testing best practices • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within agile, cross-functional teams, preferably in a startup environment • Product-focused mindset, identifying problems and crafting simple solutions • Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
