Description

• Create robust and secure cloud architectures using modern approaches like service mesh and loosely coupled design. • Handle various Kubernetes providers (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE) and manage self-hosted clusters. • Design and implement network connectivity, and provisioning strategies to ensure scalability and security. • Assess and design Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) systems to ensure compliance with security and organizational requirements. • Maintain, configure, and monitor containers using IaC principles across development, testing, and live environments. • Design containerized solutions for databases (both relational and non-relational), data auditing, caching, and performance optimization. • Collaborate with architects to implement security measures, data protection strategies, and failover/failback mechanisms. • Implement Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment pipelines using various CI/CD tools and manage container registries. • Experience in technical customer service, customer management, and handling escalations may be required.

Requirements

• Active DoD SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 5-7 years of experience working with Kubernetes in a production environment, preferably within a DoD or government setting. • Proficiency in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters on-premises, AWS EKS, RKE2, Azure AKS, GCP GKE. • Strong understanding of container technologies Docker, Podman and microservices architecture. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools Terraform, Helm, Ansible. • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI. • Knowledge of networking concepts like Istio, security, and storage concepts within Kubernetes environments. • Understanding of security frameworks and standards NIST, DoD STIGs. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Candidate must be willing to obtain Security+ CE. • Experience with DoD-specific cybersecurity requirements and compliance frameworks. • Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), or AWS Certified Kubernetes Specialist.
