Description
•Manage and look after the performance of databases across the organization. •Analytical skills to determine root cause problems for data integrity, database performance, and data quality issues identified by the team, QA, or by business report owners. •Develop data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems. •Maintains data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy. •Stays informed of the ways the organization uses its data. •Monitor database systems to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, including performance tuning and query optimization. •Design, develop, and implement database solutions and complex business rules in collaboration with the application development team. •Provide relevant technical guidance and support to other members of the IT team and the wider organization.
Requirements
•Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field •Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience •Strong experience in performance tuning, T-SQL, and query optimization •Familiarity with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools (such as Redgate SQL Monitor) •Understanding of data integrity, security, and compliance best practices •Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills •Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment •Strong documentation skills including experience creating data flow diagrams •Knowledge on Connected Business, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus. •Working knowledge of Business Intelligence platforms (Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
