Description

• Lead geological data governance and domain expertise for geoscientific data infrastructure. • Establish industry-standard geological data models, validation frameworks, and data management practices. • Ensure geological databases adhere to industry best practices and support advanced analytics capabilities. • Collaborate with geoscientists, data engineers, and ML teams to drive geological data quality and standardization. • Foster a culture of geological data excellence and promote domain-specific best practices. • Guide the evolution of geological data standards and ensure scientific accuracy for reliable AI applications in mineral exploration.

Requirements

• 15+ years experience in geological data management, with at least 8 years leading geological database teams. • Extensive experience with mining industry database systems and standards. • Proven track record of implementing geological data governance frameworks. • Degree in Geology, Database Management, or related field. • Expert knowledge of geological database systems (acQuire GIMS, DataShed). • Strong experience with spatial databases and GIS platforms. • Extensive experience with mining industry data standards. • Deep understanding of geological data models and standards. • Expertise in data quality management and validation frameworks. • Knowledge of geochemical and geophysical data management. • Understanding of 3D geological modeling requirements. • Experience with cloud-based database systems.
