Description

• Lead efforts in extracting valuable insights from complex geoscientific datasets. • Develop novel approaches to analyze and interpret geological, geophysical, and geochemical data. • Shape and implement VRIFY's comprehensive geodata strategy. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions. • Lead the development of advanced predictive models and geospatial analysis techniques. • Conduct research and stay at the forefront of geodata science advancements. • Guide and mentor junior geodata scientists while collaborating closely with experts. • Communicate complex geological and data science concepts to clients. • Establish and maintain standards for geoscientific data quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in geoscience with a strong focus on data analysis and modeling. • Demonstrable experience applying data science and machine learning techniques to geological problems. • Master's or Ph.D. in Geoscience, Geostatistics, or related field, with a strong background in data science and analytics. • Additional qualifications in data science or machine learning are highly valued. • Deep understanding of geological processes and mineral exploration techniques. • Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, machine learning, and geospatial modeling. • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data analysis. • Expertise in applying machine learning and statistical techniques to geoscientific data. • Proficiency in 3D geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, GOCAD). • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies for large-scale data processing. • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques for complex geospatial data. • Knowledge of remote sensing data analysis and interpretation. • Additional qualifications in cloud computing, machine learning, or data engineering are highly valued.
