Description

• As an Intermediate Android Engineer, you'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining our Android app. You'll work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to create new features, improve existing ones, and ensure the overall quality of the app. You will bring a strong understanding of modern Android development best practices and be eager to contribute to the growth of our platform.

Requirements

• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in Android development. • Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Kotlin. • UI Frameworks: Expertise in Jetpack Compose for UI development. • Libraries: Experienced with Firebase, dependency injection libraries (e.g., Dagger / Hilt), Room and Retrofit for handling local data & networking calls. • Multithreading & Concurrency: Knowledge about efficiently handling background tasks and managing asynchronous operations using Kotlin Coroutines, WorkManager and other relevant techniques. • Architecture: Familiarity with MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) and CLEAN architectural patterns. • Tools: Knowledge of Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines. • Testing: Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for storytelling and the Wattpad community & sincerely enjoys developing using modern Android features. • Eagerness and initiative: You leave the codebase cleaner than you found it. You have an entrepreneurial attitude with strong user empathy values.
