• About World Business Lenders (www.wbl.com)World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. • WBL is a U.S. based company with a 100% remote workforce. • This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements. • The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. • Resumes must be submitted in English. • The Data Analyst will be responsible for the intake, validation, and management of large datasets used for risk modeling and financial analysis. • This role will ensure the integrity and security of the data, collaborating closely with the Data Team Lead and other departments. • The Data Engineer Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that the data used in credit risk models and financial planning is accurate, reliable, and well-organized for analysis. • Maintain and update databases that store key financial and operational data. Ensure that data is structured efficiently for use in credit risk models and financial forecasting. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially the econometric analysts and data engineers, to ensure that data flows smoothly between departments. • Manage the collection and intake of large datasets from various sources. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of incoming data by conducting thorough validation checks. • Provide accurate data to the econometric analysts and assist in transforming raw data into valuable insights for risk models and forecasting reports.
Requirements
• 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills • Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Finance. • 2 years of experience in data engineering, finance, or related roles preferred. • Needs to have advanced SQL, Power BI and VBA experience • Familiarity with data security practices (preferred but not mandatory). • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Experience with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Teams experience required.
