📋 Description

• Location: Remote - Canada • As a Procurement Specialist, you'll be responsible for developing and executing vendor procurement strategies that align with WCG objectives. • You will oversee vendor procurement through collaboration with key colleagues within WCG, while identifying and evaluating potential vendors. • You will also seek to understand existing procurement strategies and contacts with the aim of centralizing the process and work with key partners to manage the procurement-to-pay process including budget management and contract compliance. • In this role, you will also track key contract renewal dates to address renewals/cancellations as required, and create and maintain a vendor register and maintain relationships with existing vendors.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Business Law, Finance, Purchasing, or closely related field • Over three years of professional experience in a similar Procurement role • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and other relevant tools • Strong data management skills • Experience negotiating contracts • Project Management Experience • Budget Management Experience • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to plan and prioritise your own workload, act on own initiative and effectively manage a multi-faceted workload • Ethics and values focused • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset • Self-motivating and ability to work remotely
