📋 Description

• Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. • Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. • The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team detects, responds to, and eliminates money laundering and terrorist financing risks at Wealthsimple. • Alongside compliance and operational experts, help to improve & strengthen Wealthsimple's AML program. • A typical week in this role would have you solving data problems in a fast-paced environment prioritizing shipping and iterating new features. • Opportunity to collaborate with product, technology, and compliance while seeing your work create significant impacts to the business.

🎯 Requirements

• Has strong data skills with applied experience in a risk function like AML or fraud • Experience using SQL to conduct quantitative analysis, and synthesizing results into actionable proposals • Can develop and communicate stories to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Is able to internalize and weigh information to come to balanced decisions • Is intellectually curious and passionate about their work • Experience working in AML or a compliance function • Experience working with data visualization softwares such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc • Experience working with databases like Snowflake, Redshift, MySQL • A financial crime related certification (e.g. CAMS, CFCS, CFE)
