Description

• The Website quality assurance specialist is responsible for testing, documentation, and support of HTML/CSS/JavaScript based web interfaces. • This position will review newly built and updated web pages before giving final approval for publishing to the web. • The QA tester will additionally assist web developers with site maintenance and processing of site health reports. • Evaluate and test net new web page builds, and content updates to existing pages, to verify compliance with user requirements. • Validate that web pages conform to established guidelines. • Write, review, revise and verify quality standards and test procedures. • Participate in review of standards, procedures, tools and process. • Monitor, manage, and communicate with developers, designers, or content managers on issues discovered. • Assist teammates in solving quality assurance issues and work collaboratively on resolutions. • Prepare and develop test strategies and test plans.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Web QA / Manual Black box testing – flexibility to work within, and quickly learn different and varied content management systems for Web applications. • Familiarity with web accessibility standards and experience with accessibility tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar, technical documentation; good listener. • Experience with creating and working with Excel spreadsheets. • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. • Keep track of multiple projects and progress of others on team. • Problem solving and follow-through. • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product management / content management, graphic designers. • Ability to interact with senior management. • Ability to work independently. • Strong Attention to detail. • Team player who also demonstrates leadership skills in a matrix managed organization. • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, from a testing and verification perspective.
