Description

•At Weights & Biases, our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers. •We founded our company on the insight that while there were excellent tools for developers to build better code, there were no similarly great tools to help ML practitioners build better models. •Starting with our first experiment tracking product, we have since expanded our solution into a comprehensive AI developer platform for organizations focused on building their own deep learning models and generative AI applications. •Weights & Biases is a Series C company with $250M in funding and over 200 employees. •We proudly serve over 1,000 customers and more than 30 foundation model builders including customers such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Toyota. •Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Engineering Site Lead will own the strategic and operational aspects of managing the engineering site, driving both technical excellence and team cohesion. •They will oversee the site’s projects, foster team collaboration, and ensure alignment with company goals. •The Engineering Site Lead will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Field Engineering, to deliver scalable solutions, foster a culture of innovation, and drive the growth and success of the engineering team at W&B. •This role will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality product delivery and technical leadership across all site engineering efforts.

Requirements

•Proven experience in an engineering leadership role, with at least 5 years of experience managing technical teams and delivering complex projects. •Strong background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in building highly scalable enterprise software. •Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and prioritize effectively. •Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. •Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. •A strategic mindset, with a focus on aligning engineering efforts with overall business goals. •Demonstrated success in building and scaling a high-performing engineering team, attracting top talent, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. •Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, with a track record of adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
