📋 Description
• Oversees administrative and financial aspects of the Sponsored Programs division • Operates with the objective of increasing sponsored funding levels and output of funding proposals • Develops and implements policies and methods that are most effective to increase funding • Reviews all material budget variances with senior staff and develops corrective action plans • Prepares monthly variance reports for management and development • Maintains portfolios for private and government grants and funds • Develops and maintains grant allocation systems • Reviews and approves disbursement requests for accuracy in coding and availability of funds • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and university policy
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience • Knowledge of business and management principles • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others
