Description

• Seeking a skilled freelance Senior Java Developer for a remote role • Develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications with JavaFX • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA professionals, and PMs

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Java (5-7+ years of experience) • Proven experience in building desktop applications using JavaFX • Experience with local databases such as SQLite, H2, or other embedded databases • Understanding of local authentication mechanisms • Ability to interact with external hardware components through libraries • Experience building applications in kiosk mode on Linux • Familiarity with handling fullscreen touch events, virtual keyboards, and kiosk-specific behavior • Strong emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code • Proficiency with Git for version control • Demonstrable experience developing and delivering standalone applications in kiosk mode • Good command of written and spoken English (B2)
