Description

• Lead an agile product development team focusing on collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement • Provide technical leadership and nurture a diverse team • Ensure successful product development for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) offering • Partner with leaders to define and execute a quality strategy • Identify and address technical risks • Champion sustainable product development practices • Ensure accountability for meeting the product delivery schedule • Represent Workiva Engineering at events and engage in recruiting efforts • Evaluate and document individual team members' performance • Invest time in supporting team members' career growth • Participate in recruiting and onboarding new team members

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field • 7+ years of experience in a related engineering role • 4+ years of experience in a people management role • Progressive experience in software engineering, with a strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and its importance to product success • Experience with programming, including a solid foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies • Experience in accounting or financial reporting • Strong communication skills, including verbal, listening, and written communication • High attention to detail • Proficiency in facilitation and conflict resolution
