• As an engineer on the Platforms team, you’ll design, build, expand, and maintain APIs and services that allow external parties to integrate Thatch into their systems. • Many platforms offer Thatch as the preferred option for offering health benefits to their customers and our aim is to make it as seamless as possible to get their customers health insurance. • You will work with fellow engineers, engineering managers and cross-functional partners to design and support the creation of APIs that make the Thatch experience embeddable. • If multiple software engineer roles might be a fit for you, apply to any one, and we’ll work together to find the best match. • Build APIs that enable platforms such as payroll providers or HR platforms the ability to seamlessly embed Thatch into their systems. • Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end. • Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebase. • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product and infrastructure to design and deploy new APIs features for external partners to consume. • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer designing, building, and implementing best practices around APIs, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. • Experience building software in modern languages and frameworks (we’re currently using Ruby, TypeScript, and more).
