📋 Description
• As an engineer on the member experience team, you’ll build user facing products that help employees pick the best healthcare plan for their situation and make the most of their employer provided allowance. • Employees who enroll in plans through Thatch are making a major healthcare and financial decision and we want to make sure they make the best decision possible each time. • You will work with fellow engineers, engineering managers and cross-functional partners to design and support the creation of end-to-end product experiences that help employees make the right healthcare and financial decision. • If multiple software engineer roles might be a fit for you, apply to any one, and we’ll work together to find the best match. • Build experiences for members, providing them with tools to help them select the best health plan and manage ongoing changes to their healthcare needs. • Iterate on the Thatch dashboard making it easier and more intuitive to use. • Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end. • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product, design, marketing and operations to build new features and products. • Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebase. • Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
🎯 Requirements
• 8+ years of experience building web applications as a full-stack engineer, ideally at a tech company, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. • Experience building consumer facing applications and products, crafting great experiences for a wide variety of end users. • Experience building software in modern languages and frameworks (we’re currently using Ruby, TypeScript, React, TailwindCSS, and more). We believe languages can be learned, so we welcome you to apply if you’re proficient with any modern language. • Excitement about building systems from first principles and operating in an ambiguous environment. • We hire for potential — even if you don't meet all the criteria listed here, we encourage you to apply! • Experience or interest in finance, healthcare, or benefits. • Experience or interest in building AI or LLM based tools.
