Description

β€’ The consultant(s) will conduct a landscape study on educational and economic opportunities for refugee and displaced youth in Chad and DRC. β€’ Systematic review of literature and primary data collection. β€’ Conduct interviews with UNHCR, government officials, NGOs, and community leaders. β€’ Focus group discussions with RDPs. β€’ Analysis leading to draft reports and recommendations. β€’ Present findings to stakeholders and provide an executive summary in English and French.

Requirements

β€’ Minimum of 10 years of experience in conducting research and evaluation studies related to education and livelihoods, preferably in conflict or displacement contexts. β€’ Demonstrated experience in conducting market assessments is highly desired. β€’ Strong understanding of contextual challenges in Chad and DRC with a specific focus on displaced populations. β€’ Advanced skills in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. β€’ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize and analyze complex data sets and present findings. β€’ Excellent oral and written communication skills. β€’ Fluency in English and French; knowledge of relevant local languages is ideal. β€’ Availability to work full-time on the project for the duration of the consultancy, including travel to target regions as needed. β€’ Adherence to ethical research practices.
