📋 Description
• Performs advanced follow-up on insurance billing and collection activities • Makes collection calls and verifies insurance records • Contacts insurance companies and/or collection agencies • Reviews patient accounts for accuracy and eligibility • Utilizes Epic and payer websites for claims submission • Supports customer service unit in billing and collection questions • Assists with training new staff and special projects • Consistently meets Quality Assurance standards and follows best practices
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience • 3 years work experience in Billing Or Insurance • No specific certification is required for this position • Skills: Claims Resolution, Collections Strategies, Communication, Computer Literacy, Confidential Data Handling, Epic EHR, Health Insurance Billing, HIPAA, ICD-10 Procedure Coding System, Insurance Follow Up, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Terminology, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Office Equipment, Team Leadership, Telephone Communications
