📋 Description
• Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. • We are looking for a senior backend software engineer to join our core machine learning platform engineering team, responsible for the development and expansion of core infrastructure supporting Xometry’s AI/ML products. • You will partner closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to design and deliver state of the art AI/ML infrastructure. • You will be given the opportunity to continually challenge yourself, expand your skillset, own your work, and play a crucial role in the Xometry platform. • This is a 1-year contract.
🎯 Requirements
• Required: 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced technical, problem-solving environment as a software or machine learning engineer • Required: attention to detail, good work ethic, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and strong communication skills • Required: Demonstrable understanding of software engineering fundamentals related to security, scalability, asynchronous programming and transactions • Required: Knowledge and demonstrated experience developing in Python and Terraform for AWS • Required: Knowledge and demonstrated experience deploying infrastructure as code (IaC) • Required: Experience with software engineering principles • Desired: Experience with build and testing ci/cd pipelines using Github Actions • Desired: Knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle, including best practices in MLOps • Desired: Experience deploying data science or machine learning solutions • Desired: Demonstrated knowledge of principles of service-oriented architectures and ability to lead efforts in defining and implementing a service strategy • Desired: Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases with understanding of Normalization/Denormalization, Constraints, Transactions, Replication, and Sharding • Desired: Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
