• Classify, characterize company-used components, parts, materials and chemicals. • Create component & material selection and qualification guidelines. • Support on materials-related subjects such as datasheet interpretation, alternative proposal. • Support efforts for cost reduction and component alternatives. • Exploit emerging technology, industry advances and new components. • Review product designs to ensure robust and reliable design-in of components and materials. • Lead the root cause analysis of component failures. • Identify critical and high-risk components in products. • Evaluate supplier technical competency, and conduct supplier search or selection for key components. • Standardize various technical documents (test plan, reports, guidelines, etc.).
• Degree or above in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or equivalent fields. • 5 ~ 10 years of experience in design, sustaining, testing or application of mechanical parts/products involving thermal management. • Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and materials, their classifications and naming conventions. • Familiar with electro-mechanical components or interdisciplinary knowledge of material science is a plus. • Practical knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, equipment & instruments in lab or production. • Proven skills in testing, qualification and characterization techniques of mechanical components and materials. • Experienced in thermal management and environmental testing. • Conversant with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for drawing review. • Proficient in technical documentation and drafting standards. • Good proficiency in English is required, and desirable for Chinese or Vietnamese. • Experience in project management, quality & reliability control. • Good understanding of BOM, DMS, PLM/ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, etc. • Experienced in engineering change management and process. • Familiar with Microsoft 365 - Office tools, Teams, SharePoint, etc. • Result-driven, detail-oriented and passionate for continuous improvements.
