Description

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product and Design teams • Develop applications and tools essential for effectively supporting our overall business operations • Responsible for architecting, designing, scoping, building, and maintaining underlying systems • Be part of an agile scrum team • Architect and design scalable, maintainable, secure and reusable strategic solutions • Design and implement frameworks and tools that empower other developers and non-technical colleagues • Estimate timelines, perform task breakdown, scoping, design, implementation for complex multi-month deliverables • Lead key team initiatives from start to finish by managing and improving the software development life cycle • Seek opportunities to improve quality and efficiency from initial ideation to deployment • Present and communicate across multiple groups to showcase progress and share knowledge • Performing code reviews for peers to contribute to collaborative working models • Recommend approaches to solving complex problems and use new technologies • Own, deploy, monitor, and operate large-scale production systems • Lead and mentor junior engineers in building production grade systems

Requirements

• BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science or a related major • 3 to 10 years industry experience as a Front End Engineer • Deep functional knowledge and hands on experience with the following technologies (or equivalent); Svelte, Node.js, JavaScript, React, RESTful Web Services, CSS/SCSS, HTML5, Ajax, HTTP, JSON, GraphQL • Experience architecting and implementing large scale, highly integrated, distributed user-facing applications and tools • Experience with version control tools (Git) and build managers (Maven) • Capable of implementing a resilient web architecture • Deep experience with browser testing and debugging • Experience building web products end to end with a deep understanding of web principles and best practices • Advantageous to have the following: • Experience with containerization technology (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) • Experience using AWS native services • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices • Ability to demonstrate understanding and enthusiasm for the Finance industry, along with a strong commitment to creating must-have products and services for our millions of valued customers
