β€’ Zayo provides mission-critical bandwidth to the world’s most impactful companies. β€’ Zayo is seeking a Long Haul Deployment Project Manager to be a critical member of the long haul project team responsible for management of turnkey construction contracts. β€’ The Long Haul Deployment Project Manager utilizes tight project controls and proactive problem solving to anticipate and mitigate issues and keep projects on time and on budget. β€’ The Long Haul Deployment Project Manager maintains transparent and effective communications with stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management or other related technical field, or equivalent work experience. β€’ Minimum of seven (7) years in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunication architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management experience. β€’ Minimum of five (5) years of contract and capital management experience, preferably with specific long haul OSP or other large project construction experience. β€’ Familiarity with all types of outside plant construction methods and best practices. β€’ Working knowledge of OSP construction standards, fiber specifications and optical network design principles. β€’ Understanding of different contract types and payment terms (unit rate, fixed, etc.) β€’ Ability to read and interpret construction documents. β€’ Familiar with all facets of OSP project management including quoting, construction and delivery. β€’ Experience managing large capital projects including writing purchase requisitions and receiving/reconciling invoices. β€’ Experience with NTIA (or similar) program requirements such as Davis-Bacon, BABA and EA a plus. β€’ Excellent negotiation and communication skills. β€’ Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. β€’ Demonstrated exceptional problem solving skills. β€’ Ability to communicate technical topics clearly and effectively with both internal and external customers. β€’ Business minded and able to maintain a commercial focus. β€’ Proficient with Email, MS Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), G Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc.) and Google Earth. β€’ Advanced knowledge of MS Excel a plus. β€’ Experience with Site Tracker or other project management software a plus.
