Description

• Responsible for managing accounts payable function • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of bills and payments • Implementing new processes and process improvements in AP, employee travel, and expense reporting • Maintain vendor relationships and oversee a team of AP professionals • Develop scalable processes and policies to support department goals and key metrics • Analyze and assess AP workflows and institute new company policies and procedures • Create and implement vendor onboarding and vetting processes • Maintain and improve the travel and procurement platform Navan • Own and optimize the annual 1099 reporting of vendor payments • Monitor all AP emails for timely processing • Create departmental expense dashboards for reporting • Provide Accounting support for prepaid and fixed asset schedules • Support timely month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable • Assist with audits by providing documentation related to accounts payable activities • Develop vendor relationships and resolve any issues timely • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls related to accounts payable processes • Overcommunicate project progress with stakeholders • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA a plus • Experience managing outsourced accounting staff in different time zones • Several years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices • Experience with accounts payable software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and T&E software (e.g., Navan, Concur, Ramp) • Strong ability to work collaboratively and overcommunicate with colleagues at all levels of the company • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively • Certifications viewed favorably: Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
