Description

• Support market analysis for global submarine cable planning and investment. • Maintain accurate inventory of Zenlayer’s global capacity including submarine and terrestrial cable systems. • Manage inventory capacity for contract renewal or vendor replacement to keep the overall cost competitive in the market. • Manage cable capacity sourcing, procurement, and proactive support delivery and after-sale activities. • Provide regular updates and briefing on the available, planned new capacity and new cable systems to the Sales and Presales. • Prepare business cases for management approval on capacity upgrade and expansion projects. • Interface with Capacity Planning and Transmission Engineering teams to ensure the accuracy of the lit-up capacity, network augmentation, network maintenance and circuit contract management. • Good market understanding to achieve cost efficiency & drive optimization, such as cable resource recommendation, timely renewal of contracts. • Keep updated and anticipate changes in regulatory guidelines in different countries, such as net neutrality, ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines. • Collaborate with multiple teams, including regional/country team and global carrier sales and partnership team, in daily activities related to cable capacity deal and ensure the company's overall benefits. • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures. • Other tasks as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Requirements

• BS, BA degree in technical field, B.Tech/B.E (EE or Computer Science), or equivalent experience. • 5-10 years of telecommunications experience, preferably with Submarine cable network service provider with procurement experience. • Bilingual of Mandarin Chinese (reading, writing, speaking, listening) is a preferred. • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. • Analytical approach to problem solving. • Ability to work well within a team or independently. • Good leadership abilities. • Very good organizational skills and attention to detail.
