β€’ Are you passionate about STEM/STEAM and eager to pass your knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation of kids and youth? β€’ Do you have an interest in pursuing a career in event marketing? β€’ The ideal candidate: Is a student enrolled in a Marketing program in a post-secondary Institution or a recent Marketing Graduate, with an interest in event marketing. β€’ Is outgoing and passionate about interacting with the public. β€’ Has a driver's license and access to a vehicle. β€’ Key Responsibilities: Event Representation: Represent Zen Maker Lab at various events, workshops, and community outreach programs. β€’ STEM/STEAM Education: Engage with children and youth, inspiring them with hands-on activities and demonstrations in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. β€’ Marketing Support: Assist in the promotion and marketing of Zen Maker Lab events and programs. β€’ Event Setup and Takedown: Transport, set up, and dismantle event materials, including tents, tables, and educational supplies. β€’ Community Engagement: Build relationships with parents, educators, and community members to promote Zen Maker Lab's mission and offerings. β€’ Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from event participants to help improve future programs and events. β€’ Supervise Promo Staff: Being able to supervise a Team of student/part-time workers/volunteers.

Requirements

β€’ Passion for STEM/STEAM: Enthusiastic about science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, with a desire to inspire others. β€’ Excellent Communication Skills: Able to convey information clearly and engagingly to children and youth. β€’ Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and transporting supplies up to 20kg, including tents and tables, to and from events. β€’ Dependable Transportation: Must have a reliable car for transporting materials to various locations. β€’ Flexible Schedule: Availability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules. β€’ Event Marketing Interest: Keen interest in learning and developing skills in event marketing. β€’ Preferred Experience: Previous experience working with children and youth in educational or recreational settings. β€’ Background in event planning or marketing. β€’ Familiarity with STEM/STEAM concepts and educational tools.
