• The successful candidate will be located in Washington, DC or in the surrounding area. • Absolute Software is currently looking for a result driven, self-motivated Vice President, Federal Sales (‘VP’). • This role will report into the Chief Revenue Office and will be a key resource in place to execute the company sales plan and help drive success across Canada and the US. • The VP will be expected to grow their team of Federal Account Executives. • Based out of your home office, the VP serves two key functions; first as a leader for the field Account Executives to primarily generate new annual recurring revenue (ARR) within Named Federal Agencies and second, as a management partner for the OEM and VAR teams. • The VP works with their peers to implement and execute the company sales plan and is responsible for leveraging sales assets to drive and grow net/new sales. • The VP will work to understand each region’s business strategies and supporting activities required from each of their direct reports. • The VP drives those activities in their territory and manages challenges as they relate to lack of execution and sales productivity. • The VP gains a deep understanding of our large prospects’ requirements and need for our products, while managing a team helping them to work with their available resources to deliver high levels of customer engagement ultimately resulting in a sale. • The VP will provide leadership and an escalation path for AEs to other departments. • The VP will have a quarterly business review with the head of sales.
• 4-year College Degree • A proven track record of 8 years + of successful sales management, managing a field sales team. • A minimum of 7 years + of working in Government Technology sales. (Cyber Security Preferred) • Located in the DC Metro/Mid-Atlantic Region • Experience in the technology, security or SaaS industry, preferably in software or services • The ability to negotiate long-term license agreements directly with agencies or through our partners • Experience using Microsoft Office & Salesforce.com • Highly organized with a burning desire to win. • A high degree of intelligence. • A strong drive for results. • An ability to communicate with people at all levels inside organizations. • The ability to see the big picture, and the ability to achieve goals through others. • Command of the Message would be a plus
