We can achieve our goals if we are a team of missionaries working toward a shared purpose and mission. • Acorns is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Global Accounting team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and supporting streamlined closing and consolidation processes. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing journal entries, building monthly reports, tracking of budget to actual expenses, and ensuring general ledger coding is accurate and submitted timely. • Preparing and booking journal entries • Performing month-end reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. • Preparing and analyzing the monthly cash expenditures. • Preparing and analyzing monthly fluctuations in account balances. • Documenting key accounting processes and performing related accounting operation controls. • Performing other accounting and financial ad-hoc reporting as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Accounting • 1+ year work experience • Competence in Microsoft excel • Experience with Google Workspace applications and ERP systems is a plus • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Exceptional drive, precision, and attention to detail • Ability to meet hard deadlines • Keen aptitude in dealing with financial and numeric data as well as analyzing data • Strong relationship building skills and ability to prioritize workloads • Thirst for delivering game-changing products • Exceptional drive and precision in delivery • A belief that your work is tied to your life's mission • Optimistic about the potential of societal change
