Description

• Affirm is reinventing credit to provide consumers flexibility to buy now and pay later. • Virtual cards allow consumers to leverage Affirm’s financial products at any merchant accepting card payments. • The team powers core capabilities bridging Affirm and external credit networks like Visa. • Looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to enhance the buying experience based on honesty and trust. • Responsible for owning quarterly goals, leading engineers, and ensuring support throughout delivery. • Collaborating with product management, design and analytics on product development lifecycle. • Advocating and solving project, process, technology or business issues proactively.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin. • Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes. • Experience defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple and extensible design. • Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base, and developed tools and practices that enable safe modifications. • Demonstrates ownership of personal growth, proactively seeking feedback. • Strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team. • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
