Description

• Manage the Army Reserve TPU/IMA/IRR Soldier pay program. • Establish military pay policy and procedures, processes pay actions for TPU, IMA and IRR Soldiers. • Train, inspect and provide pay support to all Army Reserve units in CONUS, Puerto Rico, Europe and IMA and IRR Soldiers serving world-wide. • Work with developers to support PMD’s mission of paying USAR Soldiers and Submissions to ensure the sound development of SQL and web application solutions for all components of military pay.

Requirements

• Must have a Secret Clearance • Gather requirements from the field to reverse engineer current practices and assist with new solution software development • Design reports, test scripts, and SQL queries to support QA and user acceptance testing • Ensure software designs and solutions meet business requirements • Analyze and determine information needs such as input and output files, reporting, data/process flow, and user interface requirements • Tests designed applications • Can develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts, to ensure quality and reliability of software • Document and maintain test cases, test data, and testing artifacts to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing across teams • Conduct both manual and automated functional, performance, integration and user acceptance testing to validate product functionality, stability, and scalability • Document software defects and issues and work with Development teams to facilitate their resolution • Ability to create and run SQL queries to test and troubleshoot software • Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to understand product requirements and participate in design reviews to ensure testability and quality • Collaborate with Customer Support teams to analyze and reproduce customer-reported issues, providing timely resolutions and recommendations • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, providing testing insights and status updates • Possess knowledge of or can learn the Microsoft SQL Server technology and tools, as well as be able to use the T-SQL language to fashion queries for testing purposes as well as understand how tables, views, and stored procedures work • Possess knowledge of or can learn project planning and tracking using Jira as a management tool as well as create and issue change requests using Jira • Should be able to keep track of software releases and validate the proper deployment of releases • Must be able to learn and understand the security model of the PMD system and validate that software changes are compliant with this model • Must be able to learn and understand the technical architecture of the PMD system to include file shares, Azure environments, and key features and functionality of Microsoft products and tools that are being used • Must be able to articulate and clearly communicate business needs with developers and clients and possess a high level of attention to detail • Must not rubberstamp products or releases and can objectively challenge poor software solutions and design if they do not meet requirements
